The AI used to cheat with fort maintenance costs, but no longer (I think the 'cheat' is now an Age ability). With Native Policies, the AI no longer cheats with native uprisings, it simple picks the policy that prevents them. There is also one AI cheat that you benefit from Fleets set on Mare Nostrum naval missions are aware of all enemy ships in the area whether they can see them or not, regardless of whether it is you or the AI.įinally, there are also a couple of things that it DID cheat on and no longer does. They things that are 100% cheats: they get 25% extra colonial range, they instantly know where your armies are when any of their allies see you and for a short while after (this is to somewhat simulate the human ability to anticipate where an army might be going, but can be pretty obvious if you know what to look for) They get extra Tradition from battles (THAT is what makes Ottomans run on high tradition so much) and they get more Horde unity from looting.

Thinks they get because of limitations of the AI +1 diplomat that they use exclusively for anything that doesn't require maintaining the envoy there, +1 leader cap because they suck at knowing when and what kind of leader they need, and +1 diplo rep whenever they have a diplomatic agreement that requires one with the player. Things that they don't have to worry about but pretend they do Naval Attrition, Call to Peace, and lost trust from failing to give land in a Call-to-Arms for land.
